Adult Sleeping Bags

If you’ve ever shopped for “waterproof” outdoor gear, bought something you liked only to find later it wasn’t quite as “waterproof” as advertised, you know it is more than frustrating.

So how can you be sure if any of the waterproof sleeping bags you’re considering are truly waterproof?

Here’s a suggestion …

Give them an extreme rainfall test with your garden hose or perhaps just watch the following video to see what the crew at Backpacker Magazine found …

Now that was a tad extreme, wasn’t it!

Of course the key point here is to think beyond the waterproofing of the shell (all three of the bags tested in the video passed in that area) and pay close attention to the seams and zipper areas.

Those are the places most leaks occur in bags advertised as waterproof …
